Neighbours airs hurtful row after Leo Tanaka’s life-changing decision

Aaron is devastated by Leo’s choice.

Neighbours has aired Leo Tanaka’s life-changing decision, which has sparked a new rift between Aaron and Chloe Brennan.

Leo (Tim Kano) recently asked his twin brother David and brother-in-law Aaron to take full parental responsibility over baby Abigail, as he doubted his ability to be a father.

In Wednesday’s episode on Channel 5, everything changed for Leo as he suddenly realised that he couldn’t let his little girl go.

Leo was given food for thought as he went out for lunch with Chloe (April Rose Pengilly), Kyle Canning (Chris Milligan) and Roxy Willis (Zima Anderson).

Kyle and Roxy shared their excitement over their plans to start a family of their own following their recent wedding. Their obvious joy didn’t go unnoticed by Leo as he reflected on Britney Barnes’s death and everything he had lost.

When Chloe then got some time alone with Leo, she argued that giving up Abigail to David (Takaya Honda) and Aaron (Matt Wilson) wasn’t a good decision.

Leo suggested that Abigail deserved a full family rather than a single parent, but Chloe replied: “You’re an amazing dad. And I know you love Abigail more than you want to admit right now.

“Giving up Abigail is a bad choice. And I wouldn’t be a real friend if I didn’t try and stop you from making a huge mistake.”

Later, Leo joined David, Aaron and Nicolette Stone (Charlotte Chimes) for an official meeting to begin formalising the parental agreement.

Before this could begin, a delayed delivery arrived in the mail that Britney had arranged before her death.

The package contained a babygro for Abigail containing the message “Daddy’s Number One Girl”, as well as a touching note from Britney which described Leo as the “best dad ever”.

As the emotions all became too much, Leo announced that he couldn’t go through with giving away Abigail. He then rushed out with his daughter, heading to see Chloe.

When Aaron followed in close pursuit, he was stunned as Chloe revealed her role in helping Leo to change his mind.

Misinterpreting Chloe’s intentions, Aaron went on the attack and asked: “So you went and did this out of spite? Because you can’t have your own kids. I can’t believe you, Chloe.”

As Leo’s decision sinks in, will this family tension only get worse?
