Home and Away’s Tane Parata gives into temptation with Felicity after death cover-up

He’s unable to stick to his own rules.

Home and Away’s Tane Parata is unable to resist his girlfriend Felicity Newman on UK screens next week.

A new storyline sees Tane (Ethan Browne) encourage his family to close ranks following Matthew Montgomery’s death, but he soon breaks his own rules.

Last week, UK viewers saw Chloe Anderson (Sam Barrett) accidentally kill her father by hitting him over the head with a brick. She did so to protect her mum Mia (Anna Samson) when Matthew became threatening.

In this week’s scenes on Channel 5, Mia’s partner Ari (Rob Kipa-Williams) decides to make a false confession to Matthew’s murder to keep her and Chloe out of trouble.

Tane initially struggles to understand why his older brother would take the blame for a crime he didn’t commit.

When Tane realises that Ari is determined to pursue this path, he agrees to respect his sibling’s choice and get the rest of the family on board.

Tane vows to keep a distance from Felicity (Jacqui Purvis) to avoid having to share any details with her. He also orders his nephew Nikau (Kawakawa Fox-Reo) to do the same with Bella Nixon (Courtney Miller).

However, next week’s episodes see Tane unable to avoid Felicity when they cross paths at Salt.

Tane turns up to collect some pizzas and is surprised to see that Felicity is now working at the restaurant.

Tane asks Felicity to meet him outside her caravan, where they share a steamy reunion.

While alone with Tane, Felicity quizzes him on why they can’t be together since everyone now knows that Ari has confessed to killing Matthew.

Tane is vague in response, insisting that there are still things he can’t discuss with her.

Felicity agrees to back off, but she promises to be there for Tane if he wants to break the rules again.

Tane continues to lean on Felicity for emotional support, admitting that he fears letting the Paratas down now that he’s replacing Ari as head of the family.

Although Felicity doesn’t have all the answers, she promises Tane that he’s not alone.
