First trailer for Riverdale and To All the Boys stars’ new movie

Here’s a romcom, but it’s set in space…

Riverdale star Cole Sprouse and To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before’s Lana Condor are starring in a new science-fiction romantic comedy called Moonshot, that’s coming out in just a few weeks. So now seems like a good time drop the first trailer for it.

Things start off pretty standard, as Sprouse’s barista Walt strikes up a friendship with Condor’s Sophie. He’s definitely interested in her romantically, but she’s in a long-lasting, long-distance relationship with Calvin, played by Love, Victor and Scream’s Mason Gooding. He ticks all her boxes, including a six-pack and strong jaw.

But THEN things take a turn when Sophie reveals that she’s going into space, as she’s part of some young astronaut programme and Calvin lives on Mars, as you do.

Walt decides that the only logical thing to do is to follow her into space, despite a total lack of training. There, he has to pose as an astronaut while trying to win Sophie’s heart.

Stand-up comedian and First Wives Club star Michelle Buteau is seen quite a bit throughout the trailer, while the film also stars Black Lightning’s Christine Adams, Euphoria’s Lukas Gage, Fear Street’s Emily Rudd, and Scrubs’ Zach Braff.

Speaking of Riverdale, it should have resumed airing season 6 round about now, but it’s been given a slight delay for logistical reasons.

Meanwhile, star Camilla Mendes recently weighed on when she thinks that the show is coming to an end.

“I give it another season,” she said, echoing previous comments made by her co-stars. “I think we’ll go through season 7. Here’s hoping. We’ll see.”

We can’t even imagine what kind of craziness Riverdale will unleash for its final season.
