We last saw her heading to Germany…
Eastenders star Maisie Smith is making a short return to Albert Square after her character Tiffany Butcher left in December to live with her brother in Germany.
The anticipated cameo appearance for one episode comes after Eastenders confirmed Tiffany’s ex, Keegan Butcher-Baker (Zack Morris), would also be bowing out after five years on the show.
Morris announced his step back from the role to Insertions.us this week, saying: “After five beautiful years on this incredible show, I have made the tough decision to leave Walford and give Keegan Butcher-Baker some well-earned rest.”
In his final episodes set to air in Spring, it is likely Tiffany comes back to help Keegan wrap up his story. Tiffany and Keegan experienced a tumultuous end to their relationship after she caught her husband cheating on her with Dotty Cotton (Milly Zero).
However, in her farewell episode, Keegan went over to thank her for donating to his fundraiser and the pair had one last night of passion.
Whether this means there will be an amicable final parting for the two or more drama to come remains to be seen, but one thing is certain – there is unfinished business for the young couple.
And although this is a brief appearance, Smith did confirm to Good Morning Britain: “Listen, you never really leave EastEnders, they always manage to find a way to come back. They always bring people back from the dead… Even if I did (die), they’d bring me back at some point, you never know!”
So who knows when we may next be seeing Tiffany back on our screen after this brief return.
