  1. Coronation Street: The battle for Alfie could result in tragedy
    (Wednesday at 8pm on ITV)

The custody battle for baby Alfie takes a dangerous turn, as a horrifying car crash threatens to leave Imran and Toyah severely injured.

The dramatic week of episodes opens with a flashforward of Imran leaving a chilling message for wife Toyah, revealing the truth about his plot to destroy Abi. And as scenes move back and forth in time, the events leading up to the smash are played out.

Abi is currently planning to kidnap Alfie and escape abroad. With Kevin’s support, Abi makes the final preparations to her escape plan, unaware that Imran’s conscience has kicked in.

As Kelly makes him confront his appalling behaviour, the guilt becomes too much for Imran and he decides he needs to tell Toyah and the court what he did.

But Imran’s decision to confess his crimes sets in motion a devastating chain of events, that leaves him and Toyah lying unconscious in the wreckage of a car crash, and Abi under suspicion of being involved. Has the battle for Alfie cost the couple their lives?

  1. Emmerdale: Faith’s lies cause mayhem
    (Monday at 7.30pm on ITV)

With her family still in the dark about her terminal cancer diagnosis, Faith arrives for her chemo treatment, filled with dread.

Faith’s anguish over her estrangement with Cain deepens when she sees a fellow patient being supported by their son, and when asked about her children’s whereabouts, Faith paints a picture of familial harmony.

Faith is mortified to realise that Wendy has overheard every word, but the nurse admits she also often lies about her late son Lee.

Meanwhile, back in the village, Chas is fuming to spy a half-naked Nate in conversation with Moira. Unaware Cain’s wife is covering for Faith, Chas then overhears Moira on the phone, arranging to meet someone in their empty house and wrongly assumes she’s sleeping with Nate again.

Convinced her mum has been helping Moira do the dirty, Chas storms over to Butler’s, determined to catch the pair in the act.

Finding Moira dressed in her robe, Chas bursts into the bedroom and is shocked to find Faith inside. Desperately trying to conceal her illness, Faith spins another lie, but in doing so ends up isolating herself even more.

  1. EastEnders: Stacey collapses
    (Monday at 7.30pm on BBC One)

Returning home from hospital with Lily, Stacey dismisses Jean’s concerns about the nasty cut she sustained during their violent row. But while Stacey hopes this could be the start of her mum’s recovery, Kat sees her wound and questions whether Jean should be back in hospital.

Kheerat is also alarmed when he bumps into Stacey and she reveals Jean pushed her into broken glass. But before he has the chance to help, Stacey collapses on the Square.

After being rushed to Walford General, the doctors reveal Stacey could be developing sepsis, which forces Kheerat to tell them how she was injured.

As Martin arrives at the hospital for support, he and Kheerat are relieved to learn the medics were successfully able to stop Stacey’s infection spreading.

The close call makes Kheerat realise where his heart lies and he asks Stace if they can become an official couple. However, their happiness is short-lived when she discovers a mental health nurse has gone to see Jean after Kheerat voiced his concerns.

Learning that her mum has locked herself in the bathroom to avoid seeing the nurse, fragile Stacey discharges herself and rushes home to help. Will she be able to forgive Kheerat for breaking her trust?

  1. Hollyoaks: Juliet and Nadira grow closer
    (Wednesday at 7pm and Thursday at 6.30pm on Channel 4)

Shaq has his heart set on marrying Nadira as quickly as possible, despite her insisting they need to get to know each other better first. Frustrated by Shaq’s refusal to slow down, Nadira turns to Juliet, who’s having relationship problems of her own with Peri.

As things get steamy, a text prevents the girls from going any further, and Nadira is stunned when she returns home to find her dad waiting for her.

While the bride-to-be is forced to answer questions about her engagement, guilty Juliet vows to support Peri on the day of her nursing exam. However, she’s soon drawn back towards Nadira, who urges her to be honest about what – and who – she really wants.

Their chat prompts Juliet to make a huge decision, but Peri’s suspicions are aroused when she sees her partner’s jacket hanging on the Maaliks’ coat rack and jumps to the worst conclusion. Anxious she’s losing the woman she loves, Peri turns to Ste for help and they hatch a plan to discover the truth.

  1. Neighbours: Hendrix makes a grave error
    (Monday at 1.45pm and 6pm on Channel 5)

Hendrix is on cloud nine following his engagement to Mackenzie, and life only gets better when he learns a donor has been found for his lung replacement.

Elated by the news, Hendrix is desperate to meet his donor and thank him for saving his life, however Karl insists it’s not possible.

Foolishly dismissing the doc, Hendrix pays his donor a visit in hospital, but is seen by the lad’s distraught brother and later learns the family have withdrawn the offer of the lung.

While heartbroken Hendrix realises his mistake might have cost him dearly, Mackenzie visits the donor’s father and begs him to reconsider his decision about the transplant.

With Hendrix’s future hanging in the balance, he and Mackenzie fast-track their wedding plans and the residents of Ramsay Street rally round to help give the young couple a dream day to remember.

  1. Emmerdale: Leyla manipulates Jai
    (Wednesday at 7.30pm on ITV)

All out of cocaine, tetchy Leyla snaps at Priya for upsetting some important clients, and leaves her to deal with a journalist while she heads off to rectify her mistake.

Desperate for a quick fix, Leyla rifles through Suzy’s bag for drugs, but is forced to explain herself when she catches her red-handed. Suzy urges her friend to quit her dangerous habit.

Priya is thrown into panic over her scars when the reporter asks to take pictures of her for the magazine article.

When Leyla returns, she lays into Priya, leaving Jai furious at how she has treated his sister. After Leyla apologises, conversation turns to Jai’s struggle with addiction.

Jai admits he still keeps his former dealer’s number on a piece of paper, so Leyla suggests he burns it as an act of catharsis. However, it soon becomes obvious she may have an ulterior motive.

  1. EastEnders: Walford receives a royal visit
    (Thursday at 7.30pm on BBC One)

Determined to stay sober, Linda resists the temptation to buy a bottle of wine and channels all her energies into planning the Square’s Jubilee celebrations.

While Janine quietly seethes, Mick is delighted to see his ex in her element and reveals he has a special surprise lined up for the day.

Feeling positive about her future, Linda approaches Denise and Kim with an offer of investing £50,000 into the salon. After some deliberating, Denise accepts, and with the contract signed, Linda is declared the new co-owner.

As Linda celebrates her new venture with her family, Nancy receives a call to say the estate agents never received the money. Knowing immediately who’s behind it, Linda confronts sly Janine.

The next day, the residents of Walford gather to celebrate the Queen’s Jubilee, and no one can believe their eyes as Mick and Linda welcome two very special guests – Their Royal Highnesses, The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall.

  1. Hollyoaks: Sienna moves over to the dark side
    (Tuesday at 7pm on E4 and Wednesday at 6.30pm on Channel 4)

Having been roped into Sienna’s latest scam, Ethan has got some explaining to do when Sam catches him dressed as a policeman. Thrown into panic, he enlists Leela’s help to corroborate his story – but will it be enough to convince his nephew?

Meanwhile, Sienna is desperate to prove to Norma she has got what it takes to be part of the crime world. But when she learns a part of her heist went terribly wrong, she turns to The Undertaker, begging for help.

Norma agrees on the condition she gets something in return, leaving Sienna with no choice but to agree to the deal, which upsets Liberty.

Despite Sienna insisting she’s a pro at being bad, Warren’s uneasy about her alliance with Norma. And later he approaches his new nemesis, warning her to leave Sienna alone, or else.

  1. Home and Away: Mac’s money troubles mount
    (Wednesday at 1.15pm on Channel 5)

Mac’s money woes continue to mount when she’s visited by poker player Nathan, who reveals he lost money that wasn’t his at her gambling night at Salt.

Mac gives Nathan his marching orders, but is horrified when he later returns sporting a nasty head wound, claiming to have been attacked by the men he owes cash to.

Taking pity on Nathan, Mac foolishly gives him the rent money she has set aside to pay John – who’s not pleased when she turns up empty-handed.

Mac’s friends are horrified when they discover what she has done, and Felicity is adamant that Nathan was lying about being in debt as she vetted him prior to the poker night.

Stubborn Mac refuses to listen and orders Felicity to arrange another illegal event, leading Dean to worry things are getting majorly out of hand

Fearful for her safety, he approaches Mac with an offer – either accept the money back she gave him, or she’s on her own from now on.
