Home and Away reveals first look at Doctor Doctor star’s mysterious new role

Home and Away spoilers follow for UK viewers.

Home and Away’s UK viewers will see Doctor Doctor star Ryan Johnson make his first appearance as newcomer PK next week.

Mysterious poker player PK has been causing a stir on Australian screens in recent weeks and he’s finally about to be introduced at UK pace.

PK’s arrival comes as Mackenzie Booth continues to host illegal gambling nights at Salt.

Next week’s episodes on Channel 5 see Mac breathe a sigh of relief when dodgy Nathan, who has attended the previous events, pays her back for a loan she reluctantly gave him.

Nathan also makes a generous bonus payment to Mac as a thank-you for bailing him out when he needed it.

Unfortunately for Mac, Nathan isn’t settling the debt without more strings attached.

Nathan tells Mac that he’d like to bring his friend PK along to the next poker night, which is already full.

Felicity Newman is horrified when Mac asks her to bump another player to make room for PK.

Felicity points out that these events are based around respect, so rejecting someone at the eleventh hour isn’t a good idea. Mac refuses to listen, insisting that someone has to go.

Later, Felicity runs a background check on PK, which fails to bring up anything of interest.

Despite this, Felicity continues to get a bad feeling from PK, sensing that there’s something not quite right about him.

After an evening of poker, PK privately tells Mac that he’d like her to host a more exclusive night – with one table, 10 players and a $5,000 buy-in.

As Mac realises this could solve her debt crisis, Felicity can’t help fearing the worst.

Ryan Johnson is best known for his role as Matt Knight in Australian drama series Doctor Doctor, which has an alternative title of The Heart Guy in international markets.

He has also appeared in Home and Away before, playing Paulie Rosetta in 2010.

Home and Away airs these scenes on Tuesday, June 7 and Wednesday, June 8 at 1.15pm on Channel 5 and 6pm on 5STAR. First-look screenings air at 6.30pm on 5STAR and the show also streams on My5.

Selected classic episodes are available via Amazon Prime Video in the UK.
