Ella Richardson and her boyfriend Charlie Dean are about to be hoodwinked by Nancy Osborne in Hollyoaks.
Airing from next Monday (February 7) on Channel 4 and E4, the latest twist in their baby plot begins when Darren Osborne decides to support them with the raising of the child – yet struggles to get both Nancy and Cindy Cunningham on board.
Darren sets up a part-time position for Charlie at Price Slice in the hopes of summoning some motivation to provide for his young family.
Not exactly on the same wavelength, Charlie splurges his very first earnings on a video game, which makes Nancy think that the couple should consider adoption.
Darren is still hopeful that he can get Charlie keyed into parenting though, so he organises a game show in his living room.
Later in the week, Nancy isn’t too pleased when Olivia Bradshaw throws an impromptu baby-raising class after discovering Ella’s pregnancy.
Determined to get results, she then convinces Nancy that this could be the ideal deterrent for the expectant parents.
When Ella and Charlie surprise everyone by handling the baby doll perfectly well, Nancy acts against them by fiddling with its behavioural settings, causing the poor teens to experience a sleepless night.
Due to this, Ella doubts whether the couple are cut out to be parents after all, but after some reassurances from Charlie, it seems as though Nancy will change her mind.
Hollyoaks airs new episodes from Mondays to Fridays at 6.30pm on Channel 4, with first-look screenings at 7pm on E4. Selected omnibus episodes are available via Amazon Prime Video.
