Juliet Nightingale (Niamh Blackshaw) and Nadira Valli (Ashling O’Shea) decided to keep seeing one another in secret in Hollyoaks, mere hours after the truth about their relationship was revealed to Peri Lomax (Ruby O’Donnell).
Peri, as viewers know, was devastated earlier this week when Juliet ended their relationship after two years, revealing that she’s no longer in love with her.
The nurse believed that she was the cause of their split, but Lizzie Chen-Williams (Lily Best) was quick to correct her, informing her that Juliet had been having an affair.
Peri was appalled by the revelation, and wasted little time in storming over to James’ (Gregory Finnegan) flat, demanding to know if Juliet had been cheating on her.
Juliet, unable to keep her secret any longer, admitted that she was, in fact, seeing someone else, but given that Nadira is struggling with her sexuality, she refrained from revealing her identity.
The truth, however, came out soon afterwards, as Sid Sumner (Billy Price), unaware that Peri didn’t know, spilled the beans about Nadira.
Peri was horrified, and demanded an explanation from Jules, who admitted that she’s in love with Nadira. Juliet pleaded with Peri to keep quiet, reiterating that it’s not fair to out Nadira when she’s not ready.
Despite her heartbreak, Peri agreed to keep shtum.
Subsequent scenes saw Juliet relay Peri’s decision to Nadira, who was relieved to know that their passion would remain a secret. Juliet, however, pleaded with Nadira to be with her, but Nadira once again told her that it’s just not possible.
However, the bride-to-be eventually suggested that they could be together, but only if its in secret. Juliet, despite her doubts, agreed, and they both kissed once more.
