Hollyoaks reveals identity of ‘The King’ in shock twist
The King’s identity may well be key to finding James Nightingale.

Hollyoaks aired a huge twist in Romeo Nightingale’s attempt to find his father James by revealing the identity of the mysterious figure called ‘The King’.

Tonight’s (August 3rd) episode saw Romeo step up his search for his father, pinning all of his hopes on gaining the help of The King.

“I need you to help me track down this King geezer so I can find my dad,” he said to Zain Randeri, who suggested that, as The King is known to help reunite families, they attend a local soup kitchen. Theresa then suggested to the group that they hold a soup kitchen today instead of waiting.

Later on as the group’s soup kitchen is in full swing, Romeo spotted a man wearing an expensive jacket with The King written across the back. Anxious to speak to him, Romeo called out to the man but he ran off.

He chased him to an alleyway and pleaded with him for help finding his dad, however The King managed to flee before Romeo was able to speak to him.

However this was not before The King’s identity was revealed to the viewers as James himself – what is he hiding from Romeo?

Romeo is disheartened over the situation, wanting to give up on using The King to find his father.

“Let’s just forget about the whole thing,” he said.

However, Theresa revealed that, while running away from Romeo, The King dropped his notebook – something tjay may have evidence of his whereabouts or identity in.

“C’mon mate, don’t give up,” Prince responded, highlighting that The King may be back to pick up his notebook.

Will Romeo be able to work out that his father is the mysterious King?
