Fellow Hollyoaks cast member Bronagh Waugh, better known as Cheryl Brady, was right there in the thick of it too, joining the lads on their romantic Mediterranean boat trip.

Sharing a load of snaps on her social media page, she wrote: “A total HONOUR to be on the yacht & to share the moment when he said YES!! It was the most beautiful and the most EXTRA day…v fitting for a prince who’s met his Prince.

“Love you both so much @andymossss @markbenn85 #beyoncé #helikeditsoheputaringonit.”

As is tradition, Moss’ nearest and dearest were quick to offer their congratulations in the comments section.

Gemma Merna (Carmel McQueen) replied: “Congratulations”, finishing off with three heart emojis, while Anthony Quinlan (Gilly Roach) added: “Love this mate! Congratulations to you both.”

“Ahh Andy this is amazing news! Congratulations to both of you,” said Alice Barlow (Rae Wilson). Anna Shaffer (Ruby Button) posted: “Andy!!!!! Just thrilled for you both… hawwwwwtest couple xoxoxoxo.”
