Emmerdale’s Michelle Hardwick has silenced a Twitter troll after they bizarrely suggested she’d failed in Hollywood.
It all stemmed from a message the Vanessa Woodfield portrayer wrote on the social platform earlier this week, which read: “Ok, so when I said the @emmerdale village was windy last week, that was NOTHING compared to today.”
This individual replied with: “Seems to be more wind since you came back ,what’s wrong did it not work out in Hollywood.”
Amused by the suggestion, Hardwick retweeted this message along with: “Hi David, if you actually followed me on Twitter, you’d probably know I left to have a baby. Didn’t have time to go to Hollywood.”
Fans of the soap star will recall her welcoming baby Teddy to the world back in October 2020 with wife Kate Brooks.
This wasn’t the first time she’s had to deal with trolling either; just last year Hardwick revealed that the police once had to be contacted following a particularly horrific experience.
“People could say: ‘Well, come off social media’. But then I think: ‘Well, there’s only one or two people who are like that, and then there’s quite a lot of others who are very, very lovely’. So why should I?

“I tell myself that I think they’re bored, they’re not that malicious,” she explained, before remembering: “A couple of years ago it was that bad that the police had to be involved.
“[They] just wanted me to die and things like that. They didn’t mention because I was gay or anything like that. But the police were fantastic.”
