Emmerdale spoilers follow.
Emmerdale‘s Cain Dingle is set to hit rock bottom next week, as his feud with village rival Al Chapman rages on.
The character’s fraught relationship with Al (Michael Wildman) reached an all-time low earlier this month, when the latter revealed that he was moving in with his new love interest Kerry Wyatt (Laura Norton).
Upon hearing the news, Cain quickly realised that it meant Al would also be living with Amy Wyatt (Natalie Ann Jamieson) and his own son, Kyle (Huey Quinn), who he shares with Amy – which led to the beginnings of a tense custody battle and Kyle, terrified of his father’s rage, briefly running away.
In scenes scheduled to air on Monday, February 14, Cain’s partner Moira (Natalie J. Robb) will be seen trying her best to encourage Cain (Jeff Hordley) to pay Kyle – who’s once again safe and sound – a visit. In response, though, Cain locks her out of the room, grabs a bottle of whisky and returns to his spot on the sofa.
Later on in the Valentine’s Day episode, Moira’s left rattled when Chas (Lucy Pargeter) warns her that if Cain doesn’t snap out of his mood soon, he’ll likely do serious damage to himself.
Desperate, Chas manages to climb through the window to get to Cain and help talk things through. His mood doesn’t change, though, as she sits next to him and they pull out another full bottle of booze.
Chas is determined to make Cain see sense and she gives him a lecture. They reflect on happier times but can Chas finally make Cain change his mood?
Emmerdale airs these scenes in the week commencing Monday, February 14 on ITV.
