Emmerdale spoilers: Faith Dingle’s family are rocked as she reveals she is dying

Faith Dingle (Sally Dexter) bravely opens up to her family in Emmerdale next week, revealing that her cancer has returned – and this time it’s incurable.

The revelation comes shortly after a heated showdown with son Cain (Jeff Hordley), in which he wishes that she’d drop dead.

Cain, as viewers know, has been struggling to forgive Faith over what transpired between them in the past, and thus he’s been particularly abusive towards her as of late.

The mechanic, however, left the village several weeks ago after his near-death experience, retreating to Scotland to recover with daughter Debbie (Charley Webb).

Faith, meanwhile, recently discovered that her cancer had returned. Moira (Natalie J Robb) has proven to be a great support, but she fears ructions when Cain unexpectedly returns next week.

The trip away appears to have done him no favours, as he berates Faith, believing that her chemotherapy side-effects are actually the signs of a severe hangover.

Faith, upset, makes her excuses and leaves, while Moira later apologises on behalf of her husband.

Determined to make things right with her son, Faith asks Chas (Lucy Pargeter) to organise her a nice little get-together for her birthday.

Moira makes a plan to get Cain to the pub on the big day, but when Cain realises that he’s been tricked, it’s safe to say he’s livid. In fact, he tells his mum that his only birthday wish for her is that she’ll drop dead.

Faith, knowing she’s running out of time, reveals that her cancer is back, and it’s incurable.

Just how will everyone react?
