Emmerdale spoilers: Emotional scenes as Kim Tate is Mary Goskirk’s ally when she comes out

Mary Goskirk (Louise Jameson) finds an ally in Kim Tate (Claire King) in Emmerdale next week as she bravely comes out.

The newcomer has a conversation with Kim in upcoming scenes, but one question from her new friend evokes some painful emotions for her.

Relaying her story of lost love, Mary comes out to Kim, who proves to be incredibly supportive, and even encourages her to tell Rhona (Zoe Henry) the truth.

Mary isn’t so sure at first but after giving it some thought, she opens up to Rhona, revealing that she is a lesbian.

Rhona is utterly stunned by her mum’s revelation, but it’s the revelation that the woman Mary fell in love with was her recently-deceased neighbour that leaves her truly speechless.

She starts to question if her whole family was based on lies. Mary attempts to explain, but she’s ultimately left hurt and worried about Rhona’s reaction.

Rhona ultimately makes things a lot worse for her, as she announces to the room that her mother is gay.

Will this prove to be the end of their relationship? Can Mary forgive Rhona’s cruel betrayal?

Mary, meanwhile, bonds with Bear Wolf (Joshua Richards), as she shares details of her life and of her sexuality.

Bear, much like Kim, proves supportive.
