While Jai’s lies are exposed.
Emmerdale spoilers follow.
Emmerdale has confirmed Rishi Sharma’s fate following his shock collapse.
Earlier this week, Rishi alarmed his family and friends when he suddenly collapsed in a fit of pain. This troubling development comes after several intense weeks for the character.
Rishi had been the first to suspect Meena Jutla wasn’t telling the truth about Manpreet’s supposed holiday, then later had to contend with his ex-wife Manpreet picking Charles over him once she was found.
He has more recently faced a family rift when daughter Priya fell out with brother Jai for his attempts to convince Kim Tate to sell Brook Cottage.
One bright spot in Tuesday’s (February 8) Emmerdale episode was when doctors explained that Rishi had just suffered an angina attack. Priya did warn him it could be the warning of a stroke or heart attack in the future.
Rishi remained concerned over Priya and Jai’s feud. Priya intervened to encourage Rishi to rest while she tried to settle things within the family.
Laurel was also concerned once she found out Jai had fallen out with Priya over his attempts to sell Holdgate. When Laurel suggested they go to the bank for a mortgage, he stalled her because he’d already forged a loan application.
Not to be deterred, Laurel put in a loan application anyway but was horrified to find out from the bank that there was a problem processing her request due to her low credit score and the large loan in her name.
Jai initially tried to play it all off when Laurel announced she’d be calling the police to report fraud, but eventually had to admit he’d been the one to forge her name.
Laurel was left stunned over Jai’s double-dealing as well as the financial risks he’d already taken to cover himself.
Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 7pm on ITV, with an extra episode at 8pm on Thursdays.
