Emmerdale airs huge new Jamie Tate twist

Just when you thought you had all the answers…

Emmerdale spoilers follow.

A huge new twist in the Jamie Tate saga has aired in Emmerdale.

Viewers know Jamie faked his death and has been living with Andrea Tate’s mum Hazel and young Millie to keep away from both his mum Kim and Gabby Thomas.

This week, Kim’s boyfriend Will Taylor finally had to admit the truth that Jamie may be alive after he’d paid one of his dodgy contacts, Mike, for a DNA test.

In Friday’s episode, Kim struggled to reconcile with Will after realising he’d been lying to her for months about whether Jamie could be out there somewhere.

“I knew Jamie was out there somewhere… it all adds up,” she insisted. “Millie talking to Thomas, Hazel leaving… His body was never recovered!”

Kim was even more furious when Gabby accidentally admitted she’d shot Will because she’d mistaken him for Jamie breaking into Home Farm.

“I want to be on my own. Can’t trust any of you,” Kim snarled.

She took out her anger on Will by revealing to their business partner Jimmy that money had been stolen from the company accounts.

Little did they know that Jamie was plotting to stay as far away from them as possible. While Mike told Will that the DNA test ruled out Jamie, it was revealed to be a farce in the latest episode.

Mike was shown on the phone with Jamie, revealing he’d given Will fake DNA test results to keep Kim off his scent.

“Our business is finished, do you understand? Have a nice life, Jamie,” Mike told him.

This leaves Will, Kim, Gabby and Dawn in the dark once again about Jamie’s fate, while Jamie himself can continue to live off the grid… for now.

Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7.30pm on ITV and streams on the ITV Hub.
