EastEnders star Heather Peace celebrated her nine-year wedding anniversary with wife Ellie Dickinson, by posting a sweet photo on Instagram.
“Happy 9th wedding anniversary to my dear Ellie. The love of my life. 9 years married, 12 years together, 20 years knowing you. We were an awesome left wing in football and a pretty smashing team now,” she captioned the post.
Since the post, the Eve Unwin star has received hundreds of comments and congratulations from fans, peers and celebrities.
Fellow EastEnders actors Balvinder Sopal and Gurlaine Kaur Garcha congratulated their co-star.
Sopal, who plays Suki Panesar on the soap, wrote: “Happy 9th Anniversary! What gorgeous pictures.”
Sopal’s on-screen daughter Ash, played by Garcha, simply commented “beautiful” on the Instagram post.
Meanwhile, Emma Barton, who plays Honey Mitchell, left a love heart emoji on the heartfelt tribute.
Peace’s character Eve was introduced to Albert Square after sharing a prison cell with Stacey Slater.
Like Peace, Eve is part of the LGBTQ+ community, and the actress said she was proud to represent them on screen.
“The character falls under the LGBTQ+ banner so hopefully I’m flying the flag a little bit,” she explained.
In this week’s episodes, EastEnders aired a moment fans have been waiting for, as Eve and Suki shared a passionate kiss.
After showing Suki kindness and compassion, the pair bonded over music and drinks and ended up back at Suki’s flat.
Back at Suki’s, they cracked open a bottle of wine and Suki said: “You need to leave. You stay any longer, I’m going to end up doing something stupid.”
Suki and Eve then shared a passionate kiss as the duff-duff kicked in.
EastEnders airs on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC One, with some episodes airing on BBC Two during summer sporting events. The show also streams on BBC iPlayer.
