Coronation Street’s Imran Habeeb caught out by Kelly Neelan as dramatic week begins

Coronation Street spoilers follow.

Coronation Street’s Imran Habeeb finds himself in a difficult conversation tonight (May 30) as Kelly Neelan criticises his recent actions.

Viewers have seen Imran’s behaviour take a villainous turn in recent weeks, as he has lied in court as part of his custody battle with Abi Webster.

Imran paid dodgy Ben Chancellor to give false evidence against Abi at the custody hearing, making out that she was back on drugs.

This ultimately destroyed Abi’s chances of raising her baby son Alfie, as the court ruled that Imran and his wife Toyah should take care of Alfie for the foreseeable future.

In Monday’s episode, Kelly continues to support Abi following the court’s decision.

Kelly has spent the past few weeks unaware that Imran played any part in the plot to stitch Abi up. She currently believes that Imran must have been deceived by Ben.

However, when Kelly finds out that Imran has hired Ben at the solicitor’s office, it dawns on her that they’re both in it together.

Imran struggles with his guilt as Kelly accuses him of paying Ben to lie about Abi.

This sparks a crisis of conscience for Imran, who’s struck by Kelly holding a mirror up to his behaviour and realises that he doesn’t like the man he has become.

Georgia Taylor, who plays Toyah, recently told Insertions.us and other media: “Imran is still carrying the weight of what he did. Imran is not an out-and-out villain.

“He’s made some extremely questionable choices, but he’s not a bad person through and through, even though he’s got flaws.”

Coronation Street airs at the earlier time of 7.30pm all this week on ITV and streams on the ITV Hub.
