Coronation Street’s Daniel Osbourne left shocked by his boss Mrs Cranshaw

Is Daniel about to be faced with an indecent proposal?

Coronation Street spoilers follow.

Coronation Street‘s Daniel Osbourne will receive a big shock from his boss, Mrs Cranshaw, next week, as she makes a very unexpected and awkward move.

Daniel’s difficult situation is set up when he attends a meeting with Mrs Cranshaw (Carla Mendonça) about a school trip, but he is taken aback when she becomes upset and confides in Daniel (Rob Mallard) that her husband has left her.

Sympathetic Daniel offers to take over the planning of the trip to Edinburgh to give his boss one less thing to worry about, and he is pleased when newly appointed teaching assistant Nicky Wheatley (Kimberly Hart-Simpson) offers to help him.

But with Daniel’s girlfriend Daisy Midgeley (Charlotte Jordan) still suspicious of Nicky’s intentions and feeling insecure about Daniel being around someone he previously had a romantic connection with, will Nicky’s help actually become a hindrance?

Later in the week, Mrs Cranshaw calls in at Roy’s Rolls and makes a futile attempt to flirt with Roy Cropper (David Neilson).

When this gets her nowhere, Mrs Cranshaw thanks Daniel for agreeing to organise the school trip with Nicky’s help. Daisy is taken aback by this revelation, upset to hear that Daniel will be spending more time with Nicky.

Later on, Daniel is shocked when Mrs Cranshaw calls at his flat, waving a bottle of wine and insisting that he call her Orla.

How will Daniel handle his boss making a pass at him? And will his continued association with Nicky cause further problems in his relationship with Daisy?

Nicky actress Kimberly recently told and other media that there could be some “spicy” scenes in the works for Nicky and Daisy, who are both “strong fiery women”.

“I think Nicky could embarrass Daisy very easily,” she said. “She doesn’t have to try and plot very hard, just calling her out on her actions would make Daisy look jealous and insecure.”

Coronation Street airs these scenes on Monday, April 11 and Wednesday, April 13 at 8pm on ITV.
