Coronation Street’s Daniel and Daisy make a big decision over their future

Is romance on the cards once again?

Coronation Street spoilers follow.

Coronation Street‘s Daniel Osbourne and Daisy Midgeley will reach a decision about their future next week, as the on-off couple continue to be drawn back together.

Following the end of their brief relationship late last year, Daisy (Charlotte Jordan) has continued to harbour feelings for Daniel (Rob Mallard), even as he embarked on a new romance with newcomer Lydia Chambers (Rebecca Ryan).

The pair have recently become closer again after Daniel confessed to Daisy that he did push Max Turner (Paddy Bever) following Max’s break-in at Daniel’s flat, which resulted in Max accidentally falling down the stairs and being hospitalised.

After their recent unexpected kiss and Daniel’s split from Lydia, Daniel starts to spend more time with Daisy again in the coming days.

As they enjoy a romantic evening in the Rovers backroom, Daisy leans in for a kiss and Daniel responds to her move. Blowing out the candles, they head upstairs together.

Later in the week, Daniel and Daisy agree to give their relationship another proper go – but can they find happiness together this time following their previous setbacks?

Actor Rob, who plays Daniel, recently spoke out on who he thinks his character is best suited to, revealing that he is on Team Daisy.

“I think he should be with Daisy because there’s a lot for both of them to get out of that relationship,” he explained. “Whether it’s long-term or not, I think it will be good for both of them.”

He added that his romance with Lydia seemed to turn serious “very quickly” and admitted that he feels Daniel was potentially “using Lydia to show he’d moved on from Daisy” and that she “just doesn’t have the same pull for him”.

However, there could potentially be more trouble on the horizon for Daniel and Daisy as Daisy’s recent love interest, footballer Ashley Hardcastle (Lamin Touray), is due to make a comeback to the cobbles in the coming weeks…

Coronation Street airs these scenes on Monday, February 14 and Wednesday, February 16 at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV.
