Tracy causes a scene on the cobbles.
Coronation Street spoilers follow.
Coronation Street’s Abi Webster is surprised to discover Wendy Crozier’s links to her neighbourhood next week.
Show bosses have revealed more details of the storyline which will see Wendy become a foster carer for Abi’s baby son Alfie.
Upcoming episodes see a court rule that Abi can have access to Alfie again, but only via a mother and baby foster unit.
Wendy is appointed as Alfie’s foster carer, who will look after him alongside Abi and assess how well things are going.
When Wendy finds out that Abi lives on Coronation Street, she initially keeps quiet about her own history on the cobbles.
Wendy had an affair with Ken Barlow in 1989, which led to the breakdown of Ken’s marriage to Deirdre. She also had a return stint in 2012, when she made an ill-fated attempt to reunite with Ken.
Next week, Abi tells Wendy that she wants her husband Kevin to see Alfie.
Wendy covers her unease over this, not keen to run into any familiar faces.
Sure enough, Wendy’s arrival on the street alongside Abi soon catches the attention of Ken’s daughter Tracy.
As Tracy reacts badly, Abi demands to know what’s going on.
With the truth out, Tracy warns Abi that she’s playing with fire if she’s relying on Wendy.
Wendy then has to admit to Abi that she has a complicated history with Ken.
Could this drama lead to problems for Abi’s chances of getting Alfie back?
Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV and streams on the ITV Hub.
