Coronation Street star Alex Bain has given fans an update on his leg injury following his recent trip to the hospital.
Bain had been admitted to Blackburn Hospital at the end of May before heading to Manchester Airport sporting a new moon boot.
Now, paying a visit to the fracture clinic for a check-up and X-Rays, the soap actor took to his Instagram Stories to answer some questions from fans.
“I have to go back in 4 weeks time to have it checked again,” Bain wrote. “However they’re pleased with the progress so all is well for me!
“Should be healed soon enough guys! Thanks for all your love and support!”
The actor went on to answer a few questions from his followers, including what was the toughest thing about his injury that he had to go through.
“Probably having to watch everyone on the @englang_dance_squad instead of being with them,” he wrote. “However I loved seeing everyone have a fantastic time as well as being able to support and cheer on all my @freakdanceuk family!”
Bain, who plays Simon Barlow on Coronation Street, is also a professional dancer and choreographer who has amassed an impressive 2 million views on Tik Tok for his dancing videos and has been part of competitions as both a dancer and choreographer.
The actor also appeased his soap fans with a few Coronation Street questions, commenting that Simon will “hopefully” have a new storyline soon enough.
Answering another fan’s question on how he felt being on the series for 14 years, he wrote: “It’s a very insane feeling!
“I’m so lucky to be able to be part of @coronationstreet for so long! I’ve loved every year of it!”
Bain’s character had recently been involved in an altercation with Jacob Hay (Jack James Ryan), the teenager who had previously got him into dealing drugs.
Coronation Street airs at the earlier time of 7.30pm all this week on ITV and streams on the ITV Hub.
