Coronation Street reveals future of dark Adam and Lydia storyline

Valentine’s Day is coming…

Coronation Street spoilers follow.

Valentine’s Day will be eventful for Adam, Sarah, Lydia and more Weatherfield residents in Coronation Street.

Soap bosses have confirmed next week’s episodes will be anything but heartwarming ahead of the holiday, especially when the tension between Adam and former flame Lydia boils over.

Lydia has started stalking her ex in recent weeks, with her next move intended to trap Adam so she can break up his relationship with Sarah for good.

Sarah remains convinced that Lydia is genuinely trying to become friends with her, yet the stalker is actually developing a cunning plot that could ruin Adam’s life forever.

Trouble also looms for Amy Barlow because her family will be intent on splitting up her new relationship with Jacob Hay.

In alarming scenes, when Amy collapses after a spiked drink at the nightclub, Steve McDonald and Tracy Barlow point the finger of blame at Jacob.

Jacob tries to explain that he and Amy are actually together now, thus angering Steve to the point where he physically attacks Amy’s new boyfriend.

Simon is just as furious over Amy dating Jacob, so he becomes determined to put Jacob behind bars for good. The week will reveal whether Jacob has been telling the truth, or whether he’s fallen back to his old ways.

Cast member Simon Gregson has already promised an intense showdown between Steve and Jacob when the truth about Amy’s relationship is revealed.

Not every couple on the cobbles will be having romantic trouble this Valentine’s Day. In fact, Daniel Osborne and Daisy Midgeley share a kiss that convinces them to give it another shot as a couple.

Will love conquer all this Valentine’s Day in Weatherfield?

Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 7.30pm on ITV.
