Coronation Street hints at shock curse on the Platt family

Has Gail brought chaos upon the Platts?

Coronation Street spoilers follow.

Has the Platt family been cursed? Well, it certainly seems things could be heading that way on Coronation Street.

As part of an amusing new plot on the cobbles, Shona Platt and Bernie Winter reckon some negative energy is flowing next week.

In the new scenes, Shona is keen to relax at home, and before long David pops back to find incense burning with his wife flat on her back – all while Bernie is administering crystals… as you do.

Bernie then proceeds to pick up an ornament that Gail brought from Thailand, though suggests they get rid of it as it is responsible for the negative energy in the household.

While David has his (very understandable) doubts, Shona is more convinced and reckons Bernie may be on to something.

But what will Gail think? Let’s hope she hasn’t brought a curse upon the household.

Elsewhere on Corrie, the soap is due to see the return of Wendy Crozier, Ken Barlow’s old flame, for the first time in 10 years as part of Abi Webster’s storyline.

Speaking recently about her return, star Roberta Kerr said: “Wendy has been working as a fosterer in the interim and more recently, she has been doing this mother and baby suitability assessing.

“She is teaching Abi parenting skills, and assessing how suitable she’d be to have Alfie back with her full time. It’s a big change, I love it and I think it’s fantastic,” she added.

Coronation Street is set to air these scenes on Friday, June 17 at 8pm on ITV.
